I used the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers stamp & die set for the flowers. The coloring was done using the Camlin Brush Pens and the sentiment is from the Altenew One Go Birthday stamp & die set by Altenew.

Addicted To Stamps And More #438 - Birthdays...

Hi! I am here today with some inspiration for the Addicted To Stamps And More blog. The theme this time is:

I created a quick and simple card using the Sweet Cakes stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

I simply stamped the cake image on some cream card stock and colored in using Altenew Artist Markers. after coloring, I re-stamped the outline with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The cake stand is heat embossed with Platinum embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Rainbow embossing powder by CrafTangles.

Rainbow Card Challenge #31 – Charmingly Cherry…

Hi! Welcome to another great challenge at the Rainbow Card Challenges. The mood board this month is very bold and dramatic!

I made a masculine card this time around. 

I started by inking one side of the Altenew Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder with Candied Apple distress oxide ink using a small brayer. I then placed a piece of beige handmade paper inside and ran the folder through my Big Shot. 

I adhered the embossed paper to a red card base. The sentiment is a combo of two stamp sets. The top is from the Altenew Birthday Greetings stamp set. The bottom is from the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Cakes stamp set.

I added some black die-cuts to a smaller panel and popped it up. Here is another look at the completed card.

Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies Challenge - April 2021...

Hi! I am so happy to be back with the inspiration for the month of April for the HLS challenges. 

This is a very special month for me as my mom, hubby and son all have birthdays in April. My card today is for my son, who turns 9. 

I used the Ice Cream Cone Parade die by Simon Says Stamp, which has been in my stash for a long time. I die-cut snippets of watercolored paper and arranged them in the rainbow order. The sentiment is from the Sweet Cakes stamp set, also by Simon Says Stamp.

Hi! My fourth tag inspired by the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event hosted by Tracey McNeely on her blog In My Creative Opinion. 

This tag is inspired by two different tags. The background was inspired by Lindsay Larsen's beautiful tag on Day 19. Here is the link to her original post. 

The sentiment was inspired by Kathy Schweinfurth's tag on Day 10. I just replaced the flower with a cupcake. You can find her original tag here.

Rainbow Card Challenge - Radiant Ruby...

Hi! Welcome back to the Rainbow Card Challenge. I am here with my inspiration for the August challenge.

The mood board this month is so rich and vibrant that I was very inspired! I love the color red and I had lots of fun creating this card.

I used Yana Smakula's tutorial for Blending Free Coloring with Copic for reference. This is a great technique if you are intimidated by blending colors or just prefer a more graphic look. I used the Spring Flowers stamp set and coordinating dies by Simon Says Stamp for the flowers. I did the coloring with the Artist Markers by Altenew.

For the background, I decided on a tone-on-tone look. I used two shades of red and die-cut the darker paper with the Basket cover die by Pink & Main twice. I removed only the square pieces, leaving the rest in as I did not want a very busy background. And then I adhered the pieces together to get some depth. Here is a close-up.

The sentiment is from the Party Time stamp set by STAMPlorations. To create the striped bit under the sentiment panel, I used one of the borders from the Interlocking Backdrops set by Lawn Fawn sentiment and stamped it in red on a scrap of white paper.

To finish, I arranged all the elements on the card base and used glue and foam tape to adhere them down. Here is another look at the finished card.

My inspiration today is a set of cards I made for the holidays.

I started with the BAF Japanese Mum stamp set by Altenew and a bunch of inks from Altenew, Mudra, and Memento. I stamped the large flower from the set with various inks on a set of ivory panels. The whole process went very fast due to my stamp positioner. Here is a look at the stamped panels.

The sentiment is from the A Tree For All Seasons stamp set by Winnie & Walter. I also masked the flower and stamped the leaves from the Christmas Poinsettia stamp set by Mudra Craft Stamps around it.

To finish the cards, I stamped the Ornate Background stamp set by Simon Says Stamp on top folding, ivory card bases in inks that matched the flowers. Finally, I adhered the flower panels to the card bases.

Rainbow Card Challenge - Wonderfully White...

Hi! Welcome to a brand new year. I am here today with the first challenge for 2020 at the Rainbow Card Challenge. Here is the inspiration pic.

My inspiration card for this challenge is very special to me as we celebrated our Silver wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve. I presented this card to my hubby who was really happy and most appreciative! I used a combo of white and silver and created a Z fold card.

I used this tutorial for a Z Fold card at Splitcoaststampers. I used ivory cardstock and some wrapping paper with silver polka dots. For the front left panel, I used the sentiment from the Together Forever stamp set by Mudra Craft Stamps. I stamped it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with the Black Sparkle embossing powder by Ranger. 

For the right side, I stamped with the Spring Flowers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and heat embossed with the Metallic Silver embossing powder by Ranger.

For the inside panel, I die-cut the numbers two and five with Quinn's 123 dies by Lawn Fawn out of a scrap of dark silver paper.

I also randomly stamped the bloom from Spring Flowers stamp set on a narrow strip of paper and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I adhered it along the bottom of the card. 

Finally, I adhered it to a card base. Here is the bottom view of the card.

Since the card is a bit bulky, I made a box envelop using my 123 punch board by We R Memory Keepers. I decorated it with a little stamping with the Spring Flowers stamp set.

Garden of Flowers...

Hi! I love reading books. Though a lot of my reading is on Kindle now, I still love the feel of a real book. And I always need bookmarks as I hate dog-earing my books. Here is one that I colored as part of the 30 Days Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker blog. 

I used my Zig Real Brush markers for the coloring. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the flowers from the Spring Flowers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp with Versmark Onyx Black ink. I colored directly with my markers, without using any water as I wanted really intense colors. Here is a closer look at the coloring.

After the flowers were colored, I added some grey in the background. This was where my problems started. The water seeped into the flowers and smudged the outline. I allowed the paper to dry completely and fixed the problem by simply running the Jet Black Artist Marker by Altenew over the outlines. This effectively covered the smudged areas and also gave my images a bold outline.

Papercraft Challenge #24...

Hi! Welcome to the November challenge at the Papercraft Challenge blog. We have a new challenge starting on the first of every month. I am here today bringing you some mid-month inspiration. The theme for November is – To Give as a Gift (Not just a card)

I love making tags, they are just so cute! So I made some tags and a gift box to put them in as my inspiration.

• Take a bunch of colored paper and die cut circles.
• Die-cut circles and hearts from ivory paper.
• Stamp the small cupcake images from the Sweet Cakes stamp set by Simon Says Stamp on the hearts and color with alcohol markers.
• Assemble the tags, punch holes towards the top and tie some ribbons. Here is a look at the tags.

• I used my new We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board to create my box out of kraft cardstock.
• Cut a band out of pattern paper and create a cuff that fits around the box.
• Die-cut a circle of ivory paper and a butterfly out of the pattern paper. I used the Isabella Butterfly die by Memory Box.
• Adhere the circle to the band and add the butterfly to the top left. Add a clear gem as a finishing touch.
