CASE Your Fellow AECP Crafter...

Hi! I am part of a very interesting hop. The idea is to CASE one of your fellow AECP Educator/Participant.

I was assigned Saundra Rega who blogs at Crafted Bliss Studio.  I love her work and it was fun going through her blog. I was very inspired by one of her cards and decided to CASE it. You can check out the original card here.

Here is my take on it.

One thing that really struck me about Sondra's work is the beautiful, subtle background texture she adds to her cards. I used textured handmade paper as the base and some gold splatters to add texture to the background. I also added a dark green die-cut. This was cut with the Dodec Star die and leftover
from another project.

The flowers and leaves are from the Floral Fantasy 3D die set. I die-cut the flowers from white cardstock that I had inked with shades of yellow. This was a trick I picked up from the Elements of Floral Composition class at the Altenew Academy. Conducted by Jaycee Gaspar, this class is invaluable if you want to improve the way you place the elements on your card.

The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia stamp set. I arranged the flowers and leaves on the card base and adhered them with liquid glue. The bottom flower is popped up on some foam tape. Here is another look at the assembled card.

The next person in the hop is Anna Celdran MahtaniDo check out the rest of the hop for some great inspiration.

Love,
Nandini
