Hi! Welcome to another month of inspiration for the Happy Little Stampers Challenge.
Entering this card in the following challenges:
Love,
I have always loved Clean and Simple designs. So this theme really excites me! I have two cards for you today, using the Spotlight Technique. I have used the large floral branch from the Dynamic Blossoms Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Oriental Poppy Stamp Set for both cards.
For the first card I stamped the outline image on the left left side of a top folding cream colored card base and added the layers. I also stamped a small part of the image along the lower right corner of the card. I die-cut a small circle for my sentiment panel and stamped the sentiment with Altenew Permanent Black ink. To make the sentiment stand out more, I ran a black marker around the edge of the circle. To finish the card, I simply popped up the sentiment panel on the card with some foam tape.
For the second card, I die-cut a small rectangle out of the same ivory cardstock as the card base. I mounted the outline stamp in my stamp positioner and traced the outline of the card base on the base paper. I also centered the smaller rectangle and traced the position. I stamped the outline and the color layers on both the base and the rectangle alternately so that the stamping aligned exactly. I used grey inks for the card base and yellow and orange inks for the rectangle.
Once the stamping was done, I popped up the panel with foam tape on the card base, aligning the stamping. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on a scrap of black paper with Rose Gold Embossing Powder.
I hope you liked my Clean and Simple cards. And I hope you will give the Spotlight technique a try. I look forward to admiring your creations in our gallery.

Hi! I hope you are enjoying this blog hop! You arrived here from the blog of Hussena Calcuttawala. I have really become hooked to the Altenew 3D embossing folders! I love experimenting with different mediums with the embossing folders and discover the different looks I can achieve!
Card #1:
One of my favorite things to do is to create backgrounds and then spice them up using the embossing folders.
I used the Soft Pastels mini ink cubes directly to paper and created a grid background. I placed the paper in the embossing folder and used a brayer to apply black ink to the raised areas of the folder. When I ran the folder through the die-cutting machine, I got this rather retro looking panel.
The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia stamp set.
Card #2:
I love the Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder! I combined it with the Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Markers for a soft and delicate card.
I first applied the Frayed Leaf pigment ink to the embossing folder with a brayer. After running the folder through the die-cut machine, I heat set the ink to avoid smearing. I used the Purple Wine, Crimson, Sunkissed and Sweet Leaf to apply color in the depressions and sprayed lightly with water. I ended up with pops of color in the flowers and leaves, exactly the look I was looking for!
The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia Stamp set.To finish, I lightly inked the Geometric Botany Background Stamp with Moss ink and pressed it on the embossing folder before running the panel through the die-cutting machine. I just wanted to add a little texture to the background.
Card #3:
I love using pigment inks with embossing folders. The results are always unexpected and beautiful.
I simply scattered some green and yellow pigment powders on a piece of watercolor paper, sprayed with water and ran the folder through the die-cutting machine.
The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia Stamp set.Product Links
