Altenew Inspiration Challenge - August 2026...

Hi! This is my entry for the current Altenew Inspiration Challenge. This is the inspiration pic:

I was inspired by the card design. Here is my interpretation of the inspiration.

I changed up the background colour for a bolder look.

I cut a striped pattern paper from the Wildflower Paper Collection into small squares and arranged them across the card base.

The branch is from the Craft-A-Flower: Cherry Blossom Branch Layering Die Set.

The sentiment is from the Dynamic Duo: Blooming Branch set.

Altenew Educators Video Hop - Focal Point...

Hi! This card is a part of the latest Altenew Educators video hop. The theme is 'Focal Point' and I created a garden theme CAS card with die cuts.

The background was created using the Altenew Hosta 3D Embossing Folder. 

I used two Altenew die sets to create the garden - Mini Delight: Potted Shelves Stamp & Die Set and Monstera 3D Die Set. These dies are quite small in size and great for using up all the tiny scraps in our paper stash.

The sentiment is from the Altenew One-Go: Birthday Greetings Stamp & Die Set.

Combining Stenciling with Embossing Folder...

Hi! Today's card is an experiment that worked. I created this card for a reel that is a part of the Altenew Certified Educators Instagram Reel Hop - Stencil Stories.

 

I started by stenciling a rainbow using the Altenew Double Rainbow stencil and Distress Oxide inks on a piece of white cardstock.

 

I ran the rainbow panel through the Altenew Peony Sunshine 3D Embossing Folder after inking one side of the folder with a black pigment ink. Here is a closer look at the panel.

Playing with Watercolours...

Hi! Todays card is made from one of the many watercolour panels in my stash. Whenever I am using my watercolours, I like to keep some extra panels at hand so that I can mop up all the leftover colour. 

I used the Altenew Itty Bitty Branches Die Set to cut a few sprigs out of white cardstock. The sentiment is from the Altenew One-Go: Birthday Greetings stamp & die set.

Lots of Texture!

Hi! This is a great card to use up all the pretty watercolour backgrounds.

I used one of the watercoloured panels from my stash and ran it through the Altenew Peony Sunshine 3D Embossing Folder. Before placing the panel in the embossing folder I covered one side with Versamark Watermark stamp pad. After running the panel, I covered the panel with Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder, tapped the powder off and then used an old credit card to scrap off some more of the powder. 

I heat set the embossing powder and trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.4". I popped it up on Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape and placed it on a top folding A2 card base in white.

Using Alphabet Dies...

Hi! This card took me some time to design. I wanted to use alphabet dies and decided to combine them with layered floral dies.

The card base is covered with a pale green handmade paper that has a lovely soft texture. I used the Altenew African Daisy Layering Die set and assorted pattern papers to create 5 flowers. 

The alphabets were die cut from Altenew Gilded Glitter Cardstock. I used the Altenew Inline Alpha dies to do the die-cutting. The supplementary sentiment is from the Altenew Birthday Greetings stamp set.
