Hi! You must have arrived here from Kelly Griglione's blog. She always inspires me with her beautiful work!
I hope you are enjoying this very special blog hop as I am very excited about today's special release!
- Make a huge statement with this 8" x 11" stamp set!
- This is our first-ever stamp set in our largest stamp size category. We hope it inspires you to create projects that are bigger, bolder, and drop-dead gorgeous!
- The set features two beautiful layering flowers illustrated in a loosely painted style, plus a collection of leaves. The matching flowers and leaves from the Majestic Bloom 3D Embossing Folder perfectly coordinate in size and will allow you to take your gorgeous flower to the next level by giving it extra dimension!
- This is an 8" x 11" clear stamp set containing 41 stamps made in the USA from high-quality photopolymer.
Card 1:
My first card is a gatefold card, with a difference.
The white base was stamped with the outline image of the largest leaf in the set using the Evening Grey ink. I drew the opening I wanted with a pencil and cut it away with a craft knife. This gave me a rather funky gatefold opening.
The bloom was stamped on white paper using the following inks – Grapewine, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, Bamboo and Olive. I die-cut the stamped paper with a circle die along with a slightly larger red mat. I layered the two circles and then stuck the piece only to the right side flap of the gatefold.
It was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Another look at the card.
I decided to revisit an old favorite technique using colored card stock for my next two cards. This is a great technique that was inspired by May Sukyong Park. You can find her original card along with a detailed video here. I used the same technique for my final project for the AECP Level I. You can find it here.
Card 2:
I started with a blue card base and used a mix of white pigment ink, distress oxide inks, and Altenew dye inks for the stamping.
Here is the detailed list of inks I used:
Distress oxide inks – Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, and Peeled Paint
Altenew dye inks – Olive and Ocean Waves.
The sentiment is from the Leaf Canopy stamp set. I heat embossed it with some pale blue embossing powder.
Card 3:
I used the same process as the previous card. Instead of blue, I used a golden yellow card base.
I used white pigment ink and Altenew dye inks – Lavender Fields, Midnight Violet, Maple Yellow, Picked Raspberry, Honey Drizzle and Olive for the stamping.
The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia stamp set.
