Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway...

Thank you Nancy Souza for sending you here. The year 2021 is almost over. This is a good time to look back and remember all the good times we had! This blog hop starts at the Altenew Card Blog and showcases the work of the most amazing and talented crafters in this year!

This year was a landmark year in my crafting journey. I have been following Altenew right from its inception in 2014. When the Educator program was announced I applied with a lot of hope but very little confidence. Imagine my surprise when I made it through the screening process and got selected! The whole
journey was amazing and I am so happy I did it!

In 2021 I finally crossed off a major want from my bucket list. I was invited as a Guest Designer by Altenew for their product release hops. I was also asked to make couple of videos for the Craft Your Life Retreats. And today I am a part of the annual A Year In Review blog hop!

I am sharing four of my most favorite Altenew projects from 2021 with you today.

Choosing only four was a tough choice because each project has a story. So I based my choice on the variety of product lines I used for each. I have included links to the relevant blog posts and the Altenew supplies used after each card too. I do hope you will check out the blog posts and understand what went into making these cards.

Christmas Card with Washi Tape...

Hi! I am here today with a very special Christmas card.

I created this card using the Lovely Ornaments stamp and die set, Sunburst stencil, Garden Rose 3D embossing folder and the Gold Foil 1 inch washi tape.

To create the ornaments, I covered scrap pieces of paper with the gold washi tape and die cut them with the Lovely Ornaments die set. I then ran the die cuts through the embossing folder, inked on one side with Versamark ink. I sprinkled red and green embossing powders and heat set after rubbing off the excess powder. Check out a great video tutorial on this technique by Ishani here. And here is a closer look at the ornament.

I added some stenciling in the background with the Sunburst stencil by Altenew. Here is the completed card.

Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge - December 2021...

Hi! I am here with the inspiration for the December challenge of the Happy Little Stampers Stencil challenge.

I created a monochromatic card as inspiration for this challenge.

I used the beautiful Playful Patterns layering stencil and Glacier Caves mini ink cubes set by Altenew. The sentiment is from the Fresh Freesia stamp set also by Altenew.

I hope my card inspires you to create something beautiful. You can visit the Happy Little Stampers challenge blog for more inspiration and link your creations. I look forward to visiting you in our gallery.

Nandini

Rainbow Card Challenge #36 – Festive Rainbow…

Hi! Welcome to the last challenge at the Rainbow Card Challenges. I am very sad that this challenge is winding up for now. I have truly enjoyed my time with rest of the team. We have a beautiful rainbow hued mood board for you this month.

I created a mini slimline card as inspiration.

I used the Illusion Twist stencil and Artist Markers by Altenew. I actually colored the whole stencil and then cut the panel into two. The sentiment is from the Bold Wishes stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays.

I hope you liked my card and are inspired to create something beautiful! Please do check out the Rainbow Card Challenge blog for more inspiration. And don’t forget to link your cards to our gallery. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

Entering this card in the following challenge:

NBUS Challenge #33:
I used the Altenew Illusion Twist stencil which has been in my stash for some time.
