Addicted To Stamps And More #428 - Birthdays...

Hi! I am here today with some inspiration for the Addicted To Stamps And More blog. The theme this time is:

Today's card uses some brand new products by Altenew that were released this week. 

I started by stamping the large flower cluster from the Bountiful Bouquet Stamp set on some ivory paper. This is a humongous 8" x 10½" stamp set which Altenew released as part of their 8th Anniversary celebrations. I stamped the layers using the Memento Dye Inks. There is a coordinating die set which you can also purchase. I used that to cut the image. 

I took a cream card base and adhered an ivory panel die-cut with the Ornate Door die to the right hand side. I popped up the flower cluster over this with some foam tape. 

The sentiment is also from the Bountiful Bouquet stamp set. I heat embossed it with the Rose Gold Embossing Powder by Altenew.

Altenew April 2022 Spring Garden Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hi! I hope you are enjoying this amazing new release and the special blog ho celebrating it! You must have arrived here from the blog of Linda Westfall. 

I have three cards for you today.

Card #1:

My first card features the lovely Vibrant Florals Hot Foil Plate and Simple Coloring Stencil.

Since I don't have a hot foil machine yet, I decided to try heat embossing with it. I applied embossing ink to the plate and ran it through my Big-shot. I sprinkled metallic copper embossing powder over it and heat set. It worked much better than I expected! I also liked the grungy effect I got because my plate shifted slightly in the die-cutting machine.

I colored the flowers using the Vibrant Florals Simple Coloring Stencil. The sentiment is from the PAF Gerbera Revolutions Stamp set. I attached the Ultra Sticky Double Sided Tape towards the bottom of the card and poured mica powder over it. After tapping off the excess powder, I buffed it lightly with a tissue. I popped up the sentiment panel over this.

To assemble, I trimmed the stamped panel, rounded the corners and popped it on a dark blue card base with foam tape. Here is another look at the completed card.

Card #2:

I used the lovely Ornate Door die set for this card.

I layered two papers in shades of gold for the card base. The die-cut is cut from a cream and gold marbled sheet. The butterflies and the sentiment are both from the Ori-Kami Stamp set. I colored the butterflies with my Zigs and then fussy cut them.

Card#3:

I really love the intricate Lacy Doily Die.

I die-cut the Lacy Doily Die from yellow, orange and dark orange papers. I adhered the die-cuts to a bright green card base. I also added some splatters of gold acrylic paint. The sentiment is from the PAF Gerbera Revolutions Stamp set, heat embossed with metallic gold embossing powder.

Card #4:

My final card is a stash buster made with lots of scraps of colored cardstock.

I simply cut different papers into strips and adhered them on a rectangular panel. I trimmed the panel to fit a A2 size card base and glued it on top. I cut the Antique Blossoms die set out of black card stock and carefully glued it on top of my striped panel. The sentiment is from the Garden Rose stamp set.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Gerbera Revolution Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Celebrate in style with this stunning outline stamp set. Gerbera daisies are a florist favorite, and this set features a gorgeous close-up arrangement of these flowers. Color them in with your favorite coloring mediums to create stunning handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, and journal pages in your craft room.

I am not an expert at coloring. But this set encouraged me to reach for my watercolors. I decided to use liquid watercolors this time.

I used a panel of the Altenew Watercolor Paper and heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder. I just dabbed liquid watercolors in pink, blue and turquoise on the flowers. I used yellow and green on the leaves. I also added some red to the flower centers. Once my panel was dry, I trimmed it along the edges.

I ran a piece of ivory cardstock through the Flower Bed 3D Embossing folder and adhered it to the card base. I popped up the watercolored panel over it with some foam tape. Here is a look at the completed card.

Altenew April 2022 Gardens Around the World Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Card #1:

I used the lovely Castle Garden stamp and die set for my first card. 

I stamped the image on a sheet to watercolor paper and colored the image using my Zigs. Once the coloring was done, I die-cut it using the coordinating die. I also used the black Zig to cover the thin rim left after die-cutting. I love the bold outline this gives the design. I used a lime green card base and lightly stenciled through the Sunburst stencil with a darker green ink. 

The sentiment is from the Victorian Greenhouse stamp set. I stamped it with black ink. I arranged the image that I cut into two over the card base and popped it up with foam tape. Here is another look at the card.

Card #2:

I used the beautiful Morning Flowers stamp and die set for my second card. This is a lovely layering set with pretty delicate flowers. 

I stamped the flowers with yellow, red, pink and green inks. For the card base I used a piece of background that I had colored using some pigment powders. I adhered the watercolor background to an A2 size card base. I arranged the flowers over the base and adhered them with liquid glue and foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Victorian Greenhouse stamp set. To finish I added some half pearls from my stash to the flower centers. Here is another look at the completed card.

Card #3:

I love creating my own backgrounds. I used a technique called Retiform to create a bold background with watercolors.

Once the background was dry, I trimmed the panel. I placed a black card base into my stamp positioner along with the background panel and stamped with the Meadow Reflections stamp set using embossing ink. I gently removed the background panel and re-stamped the image. I used black embossing powder on both and heat set it. I also swiped my embossing ink pad over the sides of the background panel and dipped it in black embossing powder for a slightly grungy look.

I popped up the background panel with foam tape, taking care to align the stamping with the card base. The sentiment is from the Castle Garden stamp set. Here is another look at the card.

Card #4:

My last card was a bit of an experiment. I used the Victorian Greenhouse stamp and die set to create it.

I started with a piece of white card stock. I stamped the paint strokes from the Painted Rainbow stamp set in the rainbow order along the top and bottom of the panel. I then stamped the large greenhouse image from the Victorian Greenhouse stamp set with black ink. I used the coordinating die-set to cut the image out. To add some more interest to the background, I ran a slightly smaller piece of black cardstock through the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to the black card base and placed the greenhouse image over it.
