Altenew Washi Tape Explorer Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi! Hope you are enjoying this amazing hop! You must have arrived here from Nenette S. Madero's blog. I am always so inspired by her beautiful work!

Altenew has a huge range of washi tapes, in every color, style and width. I always admired them. But never really used any. Till I got the lovely Cherry Blossom washi tapes.

This was the first time I used the beautiful Altenew Slim Washi Tapes. It is also the fastest card I made! These beautiful tapes make it so simple!

I stamped the paisley motif from the Painted Rainbow stamp set on some white paper and colored it with Altenew Artist Markers. I used markers from Sets A, E, Red Sunset, and Summer Afternoon. After coloring the motif, I reinserted it into my stamp positioned and heat embossed the outline with black embossing powder. Once it was done, I cut it with the coordinating die.

For the card base, I used a pale pink one. I simply added the Cherry Blossom washi tapes towards the bottom of the card and flicked a little black ink for the splatters.

The sentiment is from the Carpe Diem stamp set, also from this release.

To finish, I rounded the bottom corners with a corner rounder.

I hope you liked my quick card. You can continue the hop with Sande Woodson who has some amazing inspiration lined up for you. Before you go, do check out all the exciting offers that are up for you!

If you get lost or need to go back, I have included the whole blog hop list at the end of this post.

  2. Love the ombre use of the slim tapes. Very effective. I have to expand my washi palette beyond the silver and gold I tend to collect.

  3. Very pretty card. I just learned another thing - that you can stamp on the washi tape. I never would have thought of that on my own!
