One layer card...

Hi! One of my favourite styles is the one layer card. The possibilities are endless and you normally need few tools, which suits me just fine. Also these cards are the easiest to mail. So I was very excited when the current challenge at Less is More was announced. And here is my entry for the Less is More: One Layer Week 158.

Supplies are brown hand made paper, Hobby Ideas pearl acrylic colours in shades of pink, cream and green. The sentiment is from the set Wonderful Words by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

The basic idea for this card came from the Crafts Unleashed site - Hand Painted Note Cards - The Easy Way by Shaunte. I, of course made a few changes. Since I didn't have a suitable stamp, I decided to hand draw the flowers. It also gave me the chance to use the embossing pen which I had purchased ages ago. I embossed with the sea foam embossing powder. I coloured the image with the pearl colours.

Here is a close up.

Overall, I am quite happy with this card. I really liked this technique, so expect to see more of it in the future.

Love,
Nan
