Altenew Educators "Anything But A Card" Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Hi! Welcome to another Altenew Educators' blog hop! I hope you are enjoying the amazing inspiration along the way! You should have arrived here from Tenia Nelson. She is such an amazing crafter! And always shows very creative ways to use your supplies! If you miss a stop or want to go back, I have included the full hop list at the end of my post.

I was very excited when I heard the theme of this hop as I was in the process of completing a scrapbook album for a close friend. the album was a gift for her ex-boss who was retiring in the month of June. The idea was to compile photos and letters sent by his colleagues into scrapbook pages.

There were a total of 24 layouts. I used Altenew supplies for 90% of the album. I have included my favorite layouts in this hop.

Layout #1:

This was the first layout I created. And also my favorite!

The layout included just a letter. So I created a pocket to hold it.

I used the Build-a-flower Japanese stamp and die set for the blooms.

The name was die-cut using the Inline Alpha die set.

Layout #2:

I chose a contrasting color combo of orange and green to match the bright colors of the photos.

The stamp set I used was again the BAF Japanese Mums. The photos are on flaps that can be flipped away to access the letter which is in a pocket.

Here is a close-up of the flowers.

Layout #3:

This was one of the few layouts with the photos in a portrait or vertical orientation.

I used the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set and the coordinating dies to create this layout.

I also used up some of the beautiful marbled paper from my stash for the pocket and the flaps.
Here is a close-up of the flowers.

Layout #4:

I used the Blooming Tulips stamp set and coordinating dies for both layouts.

Here is a close-up of the flowers

I inked a strip of paper with three shades of pink distress oxide inks and die-cut it with the Inline Alphas die set to create the name. I also added a strip of vellum under to title to make it stand out better.

Layout #5:

This was one of the easier layouts as it had only one photo and a single sheet of text.

Here is a close-up

I also die-cut the title out of stamped flowers.

Layout #6:

I again used the Blooming Tulips stamp and dies for this layout.

Here is a close-up of the flowers at the bottom.

And the flowers at the top.

Layout #7:

This layout is again one of my favorites. I used the CityScene stencil to create a beautiful border around the page. I used inks in shades of yellow, orange, and pink.

I used the Inline Alphas die set for the title and mounted the die-cuts on a panel that I inked with three shades of pink distress oxide inks.

To finish the album, I mounted each layout on black cardstock and then tied the pages together with some ribbon.

I hope you liked my layouts and got some new ideas for using your Altenew supplies.

Addicted To Stamps And More #408 - Birthdays...

Hi! I am so thrilled to be rejoining the ATSM team after a small break! Addicted to Stamps and More was the very first DT gig I got. And it is still one of the best teams I have worked with! Thanks, Kylie for giving me another opportunity to join this great challenge! The theme this time is:

This challenge is also the 9th birthday celebration for the ATSM blog! I created a shaker + easel card for a little boy who celebrates his birthday next week.

This card came together really quickly, mainly because it had to be posted the next day! I used the beautiful Hello Dino stamp and die set by Lil' Inker and Memento dew drop inks to stamp and die cut the images.

I inked the base circles lightly with distress inks. I used the Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape to create the shaker. I really love this tape as it is very strong and easy to work with. The sequins are from my stash.

This was a fun card to create and I am happy that I was able to combine a shaker element with an easel card. You can check out my other card with the same combination here

I hope you liked my card and will create something beautiful for this challenge. You can link your creations to the ATSM gallery. Please don't forget to visit the other DT who have some incredible inspiration for you. I look forward to visiting you in our gallery.

Rainbow Card Challenge #30 – Radically Rainbow…

Hi! Welcome to another great challenge at the Rainbow Card Challenges. The mood board this month is one of our all-time favorite themes!

I had fun creating this quick and simple card.

I used the candle stamp from the Simply Celebrate stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I colored my candles in rainbow order using my Zigs. The sentiment is from the Party Time stamp set by STAMPlorations.

I hope you liked my card and are inspired to create something beautiful! Please do check out the Rainbow Card Challenge blog for more inspiration. And don’t forget to link your cards to our gallery. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

Love,

Nandini
